-- Gentleman?? --
Recently been meeting too many gentleman…like last time…think its only few weeks ago.. When after my dinner with apss gang at revenue house.. At around 10pm plus.. Was waiting for bus 980…
When the bus came.. Was shocked that the bus.. Was packed…no.. Not packed.. Fully packed.. That I got to stand on the stairs…I was being squeezed at the door there.. Having to be hit dao when the door open/close….
Then.. There was this Indian young guy.. Think around his 20s…he offer me his standing place beside the driver.. I was like.. Oh.. Hmm… ok.. Thanks…so he exchange places with me.. Where now.. He stood at the stairs.. Sometimes hit by the door…one thing I regret for that day is I did not verbally thank him.. I only thank him inside.. Not sure why.. Maybe I was too tired.. But hey.. I did give him a smile as a sign of thanks!
And there was this guy.. Where I was on my way to work.. Taking the lift up.. This guy hold the lift for me and invite me in..
Today.. While in bus 855..On my way to work.. Still sleepy.. Didn’t have a proper breakfast as my mother overslept…so didn’t prepare anything..i was like standing and sleeping.. And there was a lot of people in the bus…well.. Working hours bahz.. Again.. Though sleepy.. I was still sub-consciously waiting for seats and looking around for signs of passengers standing up.. Preparing to leave their seats and the bus.. Novena.. Reached! But still standing with my heels.. at last! Someone stood up.. But not the seat in front of me.. it was the guy’s in front who was standing beside me.. ah… damn… after the woman left her seat.. the guy was like using his hands to prevent the seat from being taken away.. I was thinking “okie.. if you wana seat.. seat now! Else I’ll ask it from you ler.. cause I wana sleep!!”
But know what.. after the bus reached a bus stop, he turned his head to me and asked “you wana seat?”…
Oh… I see… hmm… I gratefully took the seat.. smile to him forgetting about the verbal thanks again.. and start to sleep once I sat down..
I started to think.. is being gentleman a thing that the guys wana do.. or is it they just wana impress the crowd and people around them?
Hm..
